Opposition of Orthodox Halts Maimonides Rites

The Warsaw Jewish community organization has declined to participate in world-wide celebrations of the eight hundredth anniversary of the birth of Rabbi Moses Maimonides, famous scholar, philosopher, commentator and physician.

The community organization’s stand followed vigorous opposition to participation by extreme orthodox elements within the organization.
