Organizers of a U.N. conference on racism scheduled for August in South Africa will have to work to ensure that the conference does not consider a resolution saying that Zionism is a form of racism, U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell told a U.S. Senate committee. “There is some danger” that the conference will become “mired in past political issues and past events that could take away from the value of such a conference,” he said.
