ORT, the Organization for Rehabilitation through Vocational Training, began its 90th year today with a budget of $19 million, the largest in its history according to ORT’s director general Max A. Braude. V. Halperin, director of student enrollment, said at a meeting of the ORT executive committee that student rolls increased from 50,000 to 57,000 during the past year, with the growth mainly in Israel. Argentina, Iran and France. Daniel Mayer, chairman of the executive committee, said that the organization would hold an anniversary congress in Geneva next Nov. 15-18.
