Some 400 visitors attended the graduation exercises at an instructors training school operated by the ORT Union here. Twenty-nine qualified vocational teachers from ten different countries received their diplomas from an examining committee consisting of leading Swiss vocational training experts.
Dr. Aron Syngalowski, president of the executive of the World ORT Union, speaking at the graduation, pointed out that the ORT had trained both Jews and non-Jews and that with this sixth graduation from the school, established in 1949, the number of ORT-trained vocational teachers had passed the 100 mark. Prof. William Haber, president of the World ORT, told the gathering that ORT was training people who were going out to instruct the general population of countries as widely scattered as Morocco and Iran.
