Dr. Henry Moskowitz, chairman of the Executive Committee of the Ort Reconstruction Fund and American Ort, paid tribute to the late Dr. Paul Nathan who died in Berlin on Monday.
“In the death of Dr. Paul Nathan,” Dr. Moskowitz said, “the Jews of the world have lost an outstanding leader of vision, sagicity and constructive power. Dr. Nathan’s life was devoted to the service of his country and to the Jews.
“Always a lover of his country, he realized that the reconstruction of Germany did not lie in the path of narrow nationalism, which precluded cooperation with other nations. He recognized that the Jewish problems required for their solution international cooperation.
“Every friend of Jewish reconstruction in Eastern Europe will mourn the loss of this great Jew,” he declared.
