Dr. Aaron Singalowsky, social worker and prominent leader of the Ort, the society for the promotion of trade and agriculture among the Jews in Eastern Europe, left here today for America. Mr. Singalowsky will embark on the Majestic and is expected to arrive in New York on February 6.
On his fifteenth anniversary as Rabbi of the Congregation Gates of Prayer of New Orleans, La., Dr. Mendel Silber was elected Rabbi for life. A dinner was given him in honor of the anniversary. S. L. Jacobs, president of the congregation was toastmaster at the dinner which was attended by 200 persons.
