An Ort training school for Chalutzim was formally opened here on the Zionist farm which is situated near Lausanne. The dedication ceremony was attended by Jewish leaders from Geneva, Zurich and Lausanne as well as by leaders of the Ort and the Zionist movement in Switzerland.
Dr. Aaron Syngalowski, head of the Ort, speaking at the ceremony said that his organization had equipped the various workshops of the training school with modern facilities. He emphasized that the Ort wishes to increase the number of skilled workers in a Jewish Palestine. The representative of the Hechalutz in Switzerland, Richard Kohn, expressed his thanks to the Ort for equipping the school ” with the best machines and tools that can be found in Europe.” Other speakers included Dr. Veit Wyler, president of the Hachsharah Commission which selects chalutzim in Switzerland and Dr. Erwin Haymann, president of the Swiss Zionist Federation.
