A rehabilitation center for Jewish DP patients at the Joint Distribution Committee sanatorium at Merano has been opened under the auspices of the ORT and the International Refugee Organization.
Present at the inauguration ceremony were representatives of the J.D.C., ORT and I.R.O., ac well as local authorities, including the mayors of Merano and surrounding towns. A film depicting the ORT’s activities was shown to the visitors and the patients.
