Orthodox groups in Canada launched an advertising campaign to publicize their stance against the government’s proposal to approve same-sex marriage. Advertisements headed “Message from the Orthodox Jewish Community of Canada” have been placed in the National Post, the Canadian Jewish News and other newspapers in which the organizations “state, clearly and without qualification, that the Torah sanctions only the union of a man and woman in matrimony.”
