A statement that he was “very much disappointed” with the Jewish position in Czechoslovakia, was issued here today by H.A. Goodman, political secretary of the Agudas Israel of Britain, upon his return from Bratislava following a tour of Slovakian Jewish communities.
“After the intimate relations we had with the Czechoslovak Government in London during the war,” he said, “the Jews in Czechoslovakia are entitled to hope for better treatment.” Goodman especially deplored the “serious difficulties” of the Carpathian Jews, whose problem, he said, must be settled.
