The Union of Orthodox Rabbis of the United States and Canada, has decided to designate Sunday, September 22, as the Day of Intercession on behalf of the Jews of Germany, Rabbi Joseph Konwitz, president of the Union, announced here today.
In accordance with this resolution, the Jews of this country and of Canada will be asked to go to their synagogues on the Day of Intercession, abstain from all foods until noon, and offer prayer.
