Oscar Slater Completely Vindicated in 2nd Trial

The vindication of Oscar Slater sentenced to death and beld in prison for eighteen years on the charge of having murdered a woman in Glasgow, released following a resolution in Parliament eighteen years later, was completed today when the Court of Appeals unanimously quashed Slater’s conviction.

The court found that there was misdirection by the presiding judge at the original trial.
