Over 300 sick and undernourished immigrant children have been taken from the wooden huts and tents of the immigrant camps and admitted to the children’s institutions of the OSE in Israel, where they will remain during the entire winter period, the American OSE Committee announced today.
The announcement said that the OSE in Israel also opened a special children’s home in Jerusalem where it placed 60 immigrant children infected with trachoma. The entire operation was carried out with the assistance and support of the Israeli Government and the Jewish Agency.
