The OSE today opened a new sanatorium for tubercular Jewish youths from DP camps at Davos on the site of a former German institution. It has a capacity of 100 beds.
The Swiss Government gave the building to the Jews, stating that the Jewish victims of the Nazis needed it more than did the Swiss people. Representatives of the Swiss Government, Swiss Jewish communities, the OSE and the Joint Distribution Committee, which will support the sanatorium, were present at the opening ceremony.
