The Administrative Committee of the New Zionist Organization which was declared dissolved by the newly-formed NZO Emergency Committee as a result of the split which took place this week in the NZO movement, today issued a statement declaring that it reserves for itself the right of “disciplinary action” against the members of the Emergency Committee. “The steps taken by the dissident body do not commit the New Zionist Organization — neither externally nor internally,” the statement said.
The statement also refuses to recognize the American Emergency Committee of the New Zionist Organization and declares that the claims of the American Revisionist group have been repudiated by a recent conference of NZO leaders held in South Africa. This meeting, which took place last November in Johannesburg, decided that the authority and the status of the Administrative Committee in London should remain unchanged, today’s statement alleges. The Johannesburg conference also decided that the Administrative Committee in London is to continue to be the organ which is to exclusively conduct the political work of the NZO, the statement says.
