The receipt of more than $1,000,000 in cash and $5,000,000 in pledges toward the National Committee for Labor Palestine’s current $10,000,000 drive for Histadruth in Israel was announced at the closing session of the group’s 25th annual convention here.

A decision to change the name of the committee to “National Committee for Labor Israel” was unanimously approved by the 3,000 delegates attending the parley. Joseph Schlossberg was reelected chairman of the group, as were Max Zaritsky, treasurer, Abraham Miller, chairman of the board, and Isaac Hamlin, secretary.
