The Alliance Israelite Universelle, which has operated a network of Jewish schools throughout the Middle East since the end of the last century, now has 116 schools, with 40,955 students, according to figures released today, by the American Friends of the Alliance. The schools are in Palestine, Morcteo, Tangiers, Tanisia, Tripolitania, Iran, Syria and Egypt.
