Over 600 friends and guests will be present tonight aboard the S.S. Majestic for the Women’s American ORT dinner, dance and card party. The proceeds will go toward a $5,000 fund for seeds to be sent to the Jewish farmers in the ORT colonies in Poland and Bessarabia.
The program includes Rosaline Green, more popularly known as Mary Lou of Captain Henry’s Show Boat; Miss Anja Sinayeff, violinist, and Miss Virginia Mishnun, popular interpretative dancer.
It was announced that $1,500 has been realized through the medium of a souvenir journal which is being published for this occasion. This undertaking is one of a series of similar projects sponsored by the Women’s American ORT in New York for the purpose of giving further financial aid to the work of the ORT.
