Contributions totalling $1,673,488 have been received in the first three weeks of the 1933 appeal of the Federation for the Support of Jewish Philanthropic Societies, it was announced yesterday by Paul Adler and Benjamin J. Buttenwieser, chairmen of the campaign. The appeal expects to raise $4,200,000 and will continue until the end of the year.
An industrial division of the Federation, to launch the first formal appeal to office and factory workers in all parts of the city, will be organized tonight at a meeting of industrial leaders at the Hotel Commodore.
