Owners of more than 3,000 stores affiliated with the Independent Retail Cigar, Stationary and Newsdealers Protective Association have voted not only to boycott Nazi goods but also to destroy all German goods on their shelves, it was revealed yesterday by Benjamin Gorlitzer, managing director of the Association, in a letter to the Non – Sectarian Anti – Nazi League. The decision was ratified at a meeting of the dealers at which a resolution was passed pledging the membership “to refuse to buy or sell German products until the Hitler regime is crushed.”
A similar statement was made by the Bronx Board of Business Agents of the Building Trades.
