The convention of the “Oze”, the Jewish association dealing with the problems of hygiene of Jews, closed yesterday with a decision to cooperate with the Jewish World Relief Conference. The “Oze” undertook to relieve the J.W.R.C. of all sanitation work in the zone in which it operates.
A resolution proposing that the “Oze” broaden its scope to include educational work was defeated. A proposition to make the “Oze” a world Jewish organization instead of confining itself solely to Russia was warmly debated.
Professor Albert Einstein was elected honorary chairman of the new Executive. Professor Wasserman, the famous Jewish medical scientist of Berlin, Professor Besredko of Paris and Dr. Ratcliffe Salaman of London were elected vice-presidents.
