Hearings on the appeal of Roiza Palatnik will “probably” take place at the end of this month, Jewish sources here reported today. They stressed the world “probably” and noted that the hearings will be held in Kiev. The 36-year-old Odessa librarian was sentenced June 28 to two years in a regular prison camp. Miss Palatnik, who applied for an exit visa to go to Israel, was jailed last Dec. on charges of “slander against the Soviet Union.”
