The Iraq administration costs Great Britain £25,000 toward the maintenance of the High Commissioner there. The amount of £40,000 is paid by Great Britain toward the expenses of the civil administration in Transjordania.
Sir Samuel Hoare, Secretary in the Air Ministry, replied to Mr. Hurd’s question that the British forces in Iraq consist of five squadrons of aircraft and one armored car regiment. The Palestinian and Transjordanian air force is made up of one squadron of aircraft and one armored car regiment.
