The first general agricultural exhibition of Palestine will open here on September 20. Local agricultural fairs have been held intermittently in Tel Aviv, Jaffa and Nablus. according to the plans now formulated, the fairs will be centralized in one Palestinian exhibition which will be held annually, the place for the fair alternating each year between the northern and southern districts.
An All-Palestine conference of the chambers of commerce will be opened in Jerusalem the end of August. Col. Symes, Civil Secretary of the Palestine Government, will preside.
The “Falastin,” Arab paper, publishes a report to-day that Palestine engineers have been intrusted with the task of drafting plans for the first electric railway in Palestine. The railway is to be constructed between Beisan and Alzarka near the Dead Sea.
