The time between the present and the day when the Inquiry Commission presents its report will be an anxious one, for the Jews and Arabs are still making war-like preparations, declares the “Daily Mail’s” Jerusalem correspondent. The dispatch says that the police searching for arms smuggled into the country have found small local factories run by exarmorers of the Turkish army. The position Great Britain faces is that of a country in which an imminent outbreak may be averted only by wise statesmanship or suppressed at tremendous cost.
