Emil Touna, Arab Communist leader, said today that the Palestine Arab Communists want an unparticioned, independent Palestine and evacuation of British troops. He stated that this demand would be presented to the U.N. inquiry committee before which the Communists announced they will appear.

The Jerusalem military court which has been trying Mordechai Laufer, 33-year-old plant manager, for transporting illegal arms, today sentenced him to seven years imprisonment “with special treatment.” Laufer, in whose car a quantity of revolvers was found, said that he had been kidnapped and compelled to transport the arms.
