A man who described himself as a representative of the Palestine Arab refugee today told a news conference that he was ready to talk with Israel Premier David Ben Gurion about a permanent solution of the refugee problem.
Tewfik Tugan, who insisted that the new “Gaza Strip Government” cannot speak for the refugees since no more than 10 percent of the displaced Arabs live in the strip, expressed the belief that the refugee issue could be solved in direct talks by the parties concerned, through the United Nations. Mr. Tugan said Turkey might raise the question with the UN this month. He added he was on his way to London to confer with Foreign Secretary Selwyn Lloyd on this matter.
