The split between the Arabs opposing the lease of Transjordan land to Jews and Emir Abdullah is developing into an open battle, with the Arab press making deliberate accusations against the Emir.
Emir Abdullah, it is reported, to### an angry tone and informed the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem and the Arab Executive that he will not tolerate the present campaign in Palestine against the proposed land lease to Jews.
Emir Abdullah, it is further stated, is establishing a political party for the purpose of supporting his policy of admitting Jews to Transjordan on the ground that this provides the only solution for his country’s acute economic state.
