The Arab Higher Committee in Palestine today decided to appear before the Anglo-American Inquiry Committee, but said that it would not consider the findings of the committee binding, if they are unfavorable to the Arabs.
Abdul Helman Azzam Bey, general secretary of the Arab League, today issued a statement here, announcing that the League has formed a committee to deal with the Palestine issue in connection with the hearings of the Anglo-American inquiry body.
“As far as we are concerned,” the statement said, “the inquiry committee has no official character. We do not acknowledge its members as judges to whom we must submit our complaints, but we know that its report, as well as the testimony heard, will receive widest publicity in the world press.
