A general strike throughout Palestine was proclaimed, to start today, by the Arab Executive as leaders of the abortive Arab demontsration in Jerusalem on Oct. 13, were to appear before a British magistrate here for hearing. On Wednesday, Arabs arrested in Jaffa are to be arraigned before a British magistrate in that city.
The defendants include a number of Arab notables and some members of the Arab Executive who led the demonstrations against continued Jewish immigration into the country in defiance of Palestine government orders that no demonstrations were to be held.
The disorders, according to an official statement, resulted in 25 deaths and injuries to 233 civilians and police.
