The Palestine Arab delegation at the Arab League meeting, which opens next week, will urge the League to demand that Britain grant amnesty to the ex-Mufti of Jerusalem and that he be recognized as a delegate of the Palestine Arabs to the London conference, it was learned here today.
The Palestine Arabs will base their demands on the fact that Moshe Shertok and the other imprisoned Jewish leaders have been released and will, if the Jewish Agency chooses, attend the London parley as full-fledged delegates. If the Arab demands are not met by Britain, Jamal Husseini, vice-chairman of the Palestine Arab Higher Committee, will stand by his most recent decision and go to London as an observer.
