Despite the possibility of the resumption of war between Israel and seven Arab states, the fifth annual exhibition of Jewish artists — the first in the Jewish state — opened here today on schedule.
Among those attending the opening ceremonies were Interior Minister Isaac Gruenbaum, Labor Minister Mordecai Bentov and consular representatives of various countries. A $2,000 prize for the best painting at the exhibit will be awarded, it was announced.
