The Nachshon deep-sea fishing company of Palestine, which has a large number of shareholders in the United States, today announced that a three-percent dividend will be paid to all shareholders for the years 1941 and 1942 and that efforts are being made to have these dividends paid to American shareholders after the war.
The Nachshon, which was established by the Palestine Jewish Labor Federation through the efforts of the Marine Department of the Jewish Agency, has made substanstial progress during the war. Some of its transports are working for the British Navy, while others are engaged in inland and deep-sea fishing and are helping to relieve the food shortage. Fish has now become an important staple in the Palestine menu.
