Julius Simon, president of the Palestine Economic Corporation, and Earl C. Givens, vice–president of the International General Electric Company, announced today that the two bodies have concluded an agreement making the P.E.C. distributor of General Electric products in Israel.
Mr. Simon stated that the P.E.C. “contemplates the establishment of a sales and engineering service to advise Israel industrialists of the General Electric products most suited to their particular needs as well as to service the products sold.” The P.E.C. and General Electric, he added, plan to study the possibility of establishing plants in Israel for the assembly or manufacture of a limited number of G.E. products in Israel.
