Extensive preparations for continuing the collections for the Palestine Emergency Fund are being made here.
A mass meeting of representatives of various sections of the Jewish merchants association was held last night at the Kehillah hall to plan further action for the Palestine Emergency Fund. The chairmen of the various branches of the association were instructed to carry out a campaign among the members.
The Central Workers Committee declared September 21 and 22, thirty days from the beginning of the outbreaks in Palestine, as special campaign days. Meetings of protest and memorial are being held throughout the country. A special memorial book containing the names of the victims is being prepared.
The Executive Committee of the Warsaw Kehillah was notified by the Secretary General of the League of Nations that its telegram of protest was forwarded to the president of the Permanent Mandates Commission.
