Strict economy was the continued policy of the Palestine government during the second quarter of the fiscal year 1927, according to financial figures made public today.
The figures show that during the three months, April May and June, the revenue of the Palestine government amounted to £471,746 while the expenditures came to only £457,804.
Immigration to the country continued during the month of July when 273 persons arrived, including 223 Jews. Emigration also continued, 618 persons having left Palestine during the month, of whom 383 were Jews.
