A branch of the big chemical works known as “Eos”, which has headquarters in Berlin, Danzig, and branches all over Switzerland, is being opened here. The owners are Jews.
Boot polish and other cleansing material for the care of lather, linen, boots, metal and engines, will be produced. The famous Spectrol cleaner and remover of spots will also be manufactured.
Modern equipment is to be installed in the main factory in Hachashmal Street.
Other German Jewish enterprises include the opening of a chain of “O.B.G.” ready-made clothing and fancy goods stores, all of which are outfitted with Neon lighting, an innovation in this country, the “Halifa” ready-made suits factory, and Etam, Ltd.
“Etam” silk and woolen lingerie will be produced at a new factory in Jerusalem, and retail establishments are being opened.
