A standing committee to advise the Palestine Government on the utilization of subsidies and the controlled sale of essential commodities in order to roll back living costs has been appointed by High Commissioner Sir Harold MacMichael, it was officially announced today.
The committee has already begun its deliberations and as the first step in reducing the cost of living the government announced today that the ceiling prices of bread, flour, textiles and cotton will be lowered within the next few days.
