Taking official cognizance of the extremely high cost of living prevailing throughout Palestine, the government today issued a communique stating that it is taking steps to curb inflation.
The government statement announced that an advisory council will be formed, on which representatives of the public will serve. This body will be asked to frame legislation designed to halt the constant rise in prices.
Last month the government appointed a standing committee to advise it on the utilization of subsidies and the controlled sale of essential commodities in order to roll back living costs.
