A two-day session of representatives of all the chambers of commerce in Palestine today decided to urge the Palestine Government to reconsider its trade policy, Speakers emphasized that the country does not get its fair share of shipping facilities allotted to the countries in the Near East. This policy, it was pointed out, is affecting Palestine’s supply of commodities and is a serious threat to the country’s trade.

A conference of Arab representative held in Jaffa today adopted a resolution rejecting the projected increase in taxes. The resolution declares that the government’s imposing taxes on real estate is contrary to the Mohammedan laws and constitutes a violation of Article 9 of the Palestine Mandate.
