Hope that the Palestine Government may soon permit the sending of parcels of food and clothing to Jews in Russia directly from Palestine was expressed here today by Eliahu Dobkin, head of the immigration department of the Jewish Agency.

Speaking to press representatives, Mr. Dobkin stated that 60,000 parcels valued at $160,000 will be sent shortly to Russia from Teheran. “There are now better prospects of assisting Jews in Russia by sending packages to them,” he said. He revealed that the Indian Government recently permitted Jewish organizations to send to Russia 2,000 parcels of tea, 2,000 packages of coffee and 1,000 parcels of clothing.
