A group of 100 Jewish immigrants who are among the 1,200 passengers saved from the exploded steamer Patria and interned as “illegal entrants” in a camp near Athlit were today released, it was announced by the office of the Jewish Agency for Palestine. Additional Patria passengers are expected to be released within the next few days. Of the first 100 who were released today over 80 immediately volunteered for service in the Palestine armed forces.
