Strong police detachments were dispatched today to Kfar Saba and other colonies of the Sharon region where Jewish farmers employ Arab labor. The Palestine government has thus made it clear that it intends to enforce with great strictness the law promulgated Saturday prohibiting Jewish groups from picketing Jewish enterprises employing Arab labor.

The new law has created a furor in Palestine, where all elements of the Jewish population and all political factions are united in their determination to force Jews to employ Jews only.

Jewish farmers in the Sharon district have mobilized all their resources in an effort to maintain their right to employ Arab workers. According to Davar, Hebrew labor daily, the Jewish Farmers Association of Palestine, led by M. Smilansky, fully supports the new law and considers it a clear-cut victory for the group.

Attempts by Jewish farmers to employ Arabs, who receive less pay than Jewish workers, has aroused the bitter opposition of the mass of Jews in Palestine. Pickets composed of representatives of all political groups and factions have warned all people that Jews were employing Arab labor. Police and pickets have clashed frequently in the past and many pickets have been arrested.
