The Palestine Government today adopted new measures to tighten its campaign to prevent cholera from spreading across the border from Egypt. It was revealed that thus far no case of disease has been discovered in Palestine.
Among the regulations promulgated today was an order quarantining all persons or vessels arriving in Palestine which began their journey or touched any point in Egypt before entering the country. Meanwhile, Jewish health authorities in conjunction with the government have been storing anti-cholera serum in preparation for any eventuality. Among the cooperating Jewish agencies are the Jewish National Council’s health department, the Hadassah’s medical system and Histadruth’s sick fund.
