Palestine had today the quietest May Day since the British Occupation. (One May Day started the 1921 massacres).

Hundreds of Arabs joined the Jewish workers in their one-day strike and their Labour Day demonstrations, particularly in Haifa, where several Arabs spoke from the platforms.

In Tel Aviv the chief speaker at the Labour demonstration was Mr. David Pinski, the famous dramatist, who was editor of the Poale Zionist daily, the “Zeit”, which stopped publication in 1922, and who came to Palestine on a visit recently from America.
