Sir Harold MacMichael, retiring High Commissioner of Palestine, today cabled his thanks to Dr. Chaim Weizmann, president of the Jewish Agency, for the letters message of regret over the attempt on Sir Harold’s life. Dr. Weizmann expressed hope at the time that the assailants would be discovered and punished.
The High Commissioner has fully recovered from the slight injuries which he received. His aide-de-camp Major Nicholls, who was seriously wounded, is now reported out of danger. None of the assailants have been apprehended as yet.
