Palestine High Commissioner Will Open Levant Fair: Several Governments Will Be Represented: Chess to

The High Commissioner, General Sir Arthur Wauchope, will officially open the Levant Fair in Tel Aviv on April 7th.

The Egyptian Prime Minister, Sidky Pasha, and Sir Ronald Storrs, the Governor of Cyprus, and formerly Governor of Jerusalem, are expected to attend the opening ceremony. The Governments of Egypt, Poland, Roumania, Switzerland, Latvia, and several other countries will be officially represented.

During the period that the Levant Fair is open there will be a number of special functions arranged, among them a chess tournament which will open on April 8th., a Jewish Students’ World Conference, starting on April 17th., Palestine Labour Day, which will be observed on April 21st., the celebration of Mr. Ussischkin’s completion of fifty years of Zionist activity which will take place on April 24th., and a Conference for the pushing of Palestine goods which will be held on April 25th.
