The extent of Palestine Jewish industry’s contritration to the war effort is disclosed in the current issue of the monthly publication the Jewish Industrialists Association. It reveals that war materials valued at (##)er $100,000,000 were manufactured here.
The manufactures included 3,000,000 anti-tank mines, 5,000,000 benzine and water tanks, parts for ships, tremendous amounts of foodstuffs – including 20,000 tons jams and marmalades, 7,000,000 bottles of fruit juices, over 750,000 quarts of wines and over 5,000,000 quarts of beer, 7,000,000 pounds of textiles, and 1,000,000 pairs of shoes.
