Hailing the twenty-fifth anniversary of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency, which is being celebrated this year, as a “holiday of the entire Jewish press throughout the world,” the Jewish Journalists’ Association at its annual meeting today adopted a resolution sending “warm greetings to the JTA.”
Other resolutions adopted by the delegates urged all of the Association’s members of military age to join the armed forces; declared that guidance of the Yishuv for increased war effort, for speedy victory of the democracies, for liberation of the Jewish people and for development of the Jewish homeland was the first duty of the journalists; and paid tribute to the Jewish heroes who have fallen on all fronts and to the Jewish writers fighting in the armies of the democracies.
