The entire Hebrew press here appeared in black borders today to mark the death in London of Lord Josiah Wedgwood, veteran fighter for the Zionist cause. All the newspapers carried lengthy obituaries and editorials praising his devotion to Jewish aspirations in Palestine.
A special session of the executive of the Jewish National Council today heard Wedgwood eulogized by Isaac Ben Zvi, Council president, and then cabled to London expressing its condolences to the British people and to the family of the late peer. A message expressing sorrow and sympathy was also cabled to Lord Wedgwood’s family today by the New Zionist Organization.
